We’re Cody and Taylor, the husband and wife team behind Better Half Getaways.

In 2024, while Taylor was seven months pregnant with our daughter, we bought our first Airbnb. What could have felt like crazy timing turned into the beginning of something life-changing. That one property sparked a bigger vision. Since then, we’ve expanded the land, built luxury spaces from the ground up, and shifted our careers to devote ourselves fully to hospitality.

Before Better Half Getaways, there was Better Half Builds. What started as a DIY hobby in our own home turned into something much bigger. Through @betterhalf_builds, we began sharing our renovations, design projects, and the real-life journey of building a life together. Over the years, that passion has grown into a community of more than 500,000 people who follow along as we take on home transformations, short-term rental builds, and everyday moments in between. That same creativity and hands-on attention to detail is now poured into every getaway we create.

We don’t just furnish houses. We design experiences.

From custom A-frames tucked into nature to speakeasy-inspired gathering spaces and quiet riverfront mornings, every detail is considered. We believe luxury should feel warm, personal, and inspiring.
